A New Club! Math Olympiad is an academic club that meets twice
a month to build student math skills. Students will have the
opportunity to practice problem-solving skills in order to prepare
for the annual Regional competition. Attendance isn't
mandatory but is certainly encouraged.
The club will meet every other Tuesday in Room
122. Club meetings will begin right after school at 2:15. Club will
end by 3:00, but students may go to After Hours in the library and
take the Academic bus route home at 4:00. Math Olympiad may meet
more frequently as competitions become closer. A letter will be sent home when competition dates are finalized. For more information, visit http://www.wsmc.net/olympiad/ . The regional competition will be some time in April or May and may require students to leave for a portion of the school day. In order for your child to participate, a permission slip needs to be completed and returned. The form is available by clicking on the "Forms" button at the top of this home page. Ms. Rarig is the advisor.
Requesting Homework for your sick child.
If your child has been absent for three days, or your doctor has told you your child will be out of school for a period of time beyond three days, please check our Moodle site for homework. You can click the Moodle button on this homepage under "Raider Quick Links" above. If you do not see homework listed for a class, please contact our attendance office at 662-2930 to request homework. Our attendance secretary will schedule a time, usually 24 hours later, to pick up the coursework. Thank you for helping us help your student.
